Snæfellsjökul for President is Iceland’s first Rights of Nature movement campaigning to get the glacier Snæfellsjökul nominated for the presidential elections and to establish a Charter of Rights for Iceland’s Ecosystems. The presidential campaign for Snæfellsjökull introduces the concept of the Rights of Nature into societal consciousness and government policy consideration in Iceland.
