Guðbjörg R. Jóhannesdóttir is an environmental philosopher and an assistant professor at the Iceland University of the Arts. Her research has been focused on environmental aesthetics, eco-phenomenology and the concepts of landscape and beauty. Through these concepts she explores the human-nature relation and especially how embodied knowledge of one’s own relation to nature is gained through aesthetic perception.
